Shelby has been my friend, mentor, investor and role model for over thirty years -- and the sandak for my two oldest sons. It’s impossible to repay Shelby for all that he has contributed to my career in film and even if I could, he wouldn’t accept it. So I decided to pay it forward. He helped launch one successful career in film. I hope that through JFI and the Shelby Award we will launch hundreds.
